Current Polyphone version expresses attenuation values in real decibels, and because of that, it contradicts with Viena.
For example, in Viena attenuation of drum set is -7.5, while in Polyphone it's -3.60.

I used to use Viena but found that Polyphone was far superior. Especially for making large new sound fonts.
It is better to use db for attenustion rather than some arbitrary unit.
It is likely that when Polyphone says "attenuation" it really means "gain"
