Hello,
I would like to understand how soundfounds are organized in general.

Each codifies in its own way what in my opinion becomes a little anarchy!
It may also be because I do not know how these names are structured.

That's how I would like to structure the name of the samples ...

{Family} Type-Reference [Rank] - [LeftRight] - [Key] {Fst} .wav
With:
- Family = Copper = {Cu}
- Type-Reference = Mute Tappet
- Grade = I do not know what it means
- LeftRight = Right hand / maingauche
- Key = Bb / Ut / Eb
- Fst = Author of the soundtrack

for example :
- We currently have: Baritone Sax-A # 2.wav
- We would have: {Sx} Sax Baritone [A # 2] - [..] - [Eb] {Author} .wav

The problem is that we are limited to 20 characters maximum ...

Hello
It's up to each author to choose the way to name the samples / instruments / presets. There is no rule but often it starts or end with the key number for example.
The limitation is due to the SF2 format itself, this is not possible to change it or we need to make an evolution of the format.
